Baby items recalled in Canada

Several baby-related items are being recalled in Canada.

The Sniglar full-sized crib with fixed sides have been recalled by IKEA in Canada and the U.S. All models of summer infant video baby monitors with electrical cords have also been recalled.

Health Canada said the cords were a strangulation hazard to infants and toddlers if placed too close to a crib. The agency also issued a recall on rechargeable batteries which are unmarked, or marked with m-p or b-k, and sold with certain summer infant slim and secure video monitors. The battery in the handheld video monitor can overheat and rupture.
