Fish without a license this weekend.

Head over to Petrie Island without a fishing license, for the annual family fishing weekend.

Fishing holes are drilled and ice shacks are set up with anxious fishing enthusiasts bearing the chilly temperatures.

Twice a year, the government of Ontario designates several days during which Canadian residents can fish license-free in any water body where fishing is allowed.

During all other periods, most Canadian residents between the ages of 18 and 64 years must purchase an “Outdoors” card and a fishing license to legally fish in Ontario.

You can fish without a license until 11:59 p.m. tomorrow night.
