According to a release from the force, the driver was suspended from being behind the wheel and did not have insurance. Over the latest blitz by police, the same driver was caught again.
They now face about $12,000 in fines if convicted.
The most recent example was raised in a press release where police noted they laid 55 charges in a three-day operation. They were targeting unsafe driving and responding to concerns from residents.
Some of the incidents officers saw include:
- Two drivers had their licences suspended for stunt driving
- Three vehicles were impounded
- Five suspended drivers were removed from the road
- Eight stop sign violations
- Eight speeding offences
- Three distracted driving offences
- Two drivers operating vehicles without insurance
- One driver failing to stop for a pedestrian
- Two tow trucks stopped within 200 metres of a collision scene
- Two commercial vehicle safety inspections
Additionally, police also noted a G1 driver was caught driving in a bus lane alone.
