Guns, gangs sweep nets three arrests

Three men were arrested yesterday by Ottawa police and have had weapons charges laid.

The arrests were made in the city’s West end at Watson Avenue, in the Pinecrest-Carling area.

Ahmed Ismail, 21, Abelaziz Mufareh, 23, and Osbourne Dolo, 24, have been also been charged with resisting arrest and possession of a substance for trafficking.

The police seized handguns, crack cocaine and body armor.  

The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit was assisted by the Ontario Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit.
