Stabbing suspect appears in court

An 18-year-old Ottawa man charged with second degree murder following a stabbing at an Orleans home early Friday morning appeared in court Saturday morning. Ben Taylor’s parents and four friends were also in the courtroom.
Taylor was arrested and charged with the stabbing of 22-year-old Scott Ledoux.
Taylor is also scheduled to be in court Monday for charges related to an October incident, when he was charged with mischief to property. He has also been charged, in separate cases, with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
Taylor was remanded into custody until his next court appearance, which will be via video link, on Thursday.
