Transformers at Toronto hydro station catch fire

Hydro One says two transformers caught fire at its Richview Transformer Station in West-End Toronto late Friday afternoon.
Billowing plumes of black smoke from the blaze forced the closure of Highway 401 near Pearson Airport for about an hour.
Hydro One says there were no injuries or health and safety issues reported as a result of the fire.
Within an hour of the fire breaking out, Toronto Hydro was able to transfer power supply to other stations and restore power to affected customers.
Firefighters and emergency services remain at the site and Hydro One says the cause of the fire is not yet known.
