Pedestrian struck in Centretown

OTTAWA, Ont. – A 71-year-old man has been rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after he was hit by a car at the intersection of Bronson Avenue and Somerset Street, Wednesday.

It happened around 9 a.m.

Paramedics say the man was unconscious when they arrived and was being freed by witnesses using the jack of a car.

He is listed in serious condition in hospital.
