Ottawa police on lookout for armed pharmacy robber

An armed man is on the loose after making off with drugs from the safe of an IDA pharmacy in Richmond.
Police say the man entered the pharmacy at around 10 a.m. yesterday. He had a knife.
Ottawa Police and the OPP are looking for him.

An Ottawa sex case is now in the hands of a jury.
Sabri Louati is charged with having sex with a 15-year-old in the back of his car when he was 33.
It is alleged it happened a few hours after Louati and the teen smoked a joint with the teen’s mother in early July.
But despite the teen’s account – cops found no traces of physical evidence in the car and no trace of marijuana after a blood test two days later.

A child was home alone in a Vanier apartment when a blaze broke out in the kitchen yeterday morning. Luckily, neighbours at the complex located at 119 Lavergne St. took the child in before fire crews arrived.
The fire was caused by a pot on the stove. Minimal damage was reported.

A family is homeless after a fire ripped through their Gracefield home — about an hour north of Gatineau – causing $100,000 in damages.
The blaze began just after 9 a.m. yesterday.
No injuries were reported.
