Capital celebrates Earth Hour

It’s hard to know just how many Canadians actually particpated in Earth Hour but organizers say they’re not concerned the event is less popular than it used to be.

Ottawa Police marked the event by shutting off the “ottawapolice.ca” sign on police headquarters.

The Green Party held a candlelight vigil on Parliament Hill to celebrate the event.

Earth Hour started in Australia in 2007.
