Bamoseda, hosted by Jennifer Ashawasegai, is an Aboriginal news magazine radio program, which features national Aboriginal news, current affairs, features on community and culture, spotlights on entertainment and a cross section of musical genres from very talented artists in the Aboriginal community.

The federal election is the hot topic in Bamoseda this weekend, well, if you can call it a hot topic when there doesn’t seem to be much on party platforms to address Aboriginal issues. Hear from a pundit, Anishinabek politician and learn about a grassroots campaign to press for awareness on Aboriginal poverty.
A concerned member Chapel Island First Nation citizen is concerned about a hydraulic fracturing or “fracking” project in the Mi’kmaq territory.
Annie Mae Pictou Aquash would be 66 years old by now. She was a strong Mi’kmaq woman who was involved with the American Indian Movement, and was murdered in the winter of 1975. Film-Maker Cathy Martin has been commission by Nova Scotia’s lieutenant Governor as a speaker, and Martin will be highlighting Annie Mae in her talk about strong Mi’kmaq women.
