Certain bulk, prepackaged raw shelled walnuts may contain E. coli

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to eat certain bulk and prepackaged raw shelled walnut products sold by Amira Enterprises Inc. because they could be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.

The nuts have been imported from the United States and were sold in bulk bins, and all package sizes and all lot codes/best before dates are affected.

The affected products were available from January 1 to  April 4, 2011.
