A group of U.S. mayors is weighing in on the federal election campaign.
They’re asking Canadians to help them fight a planned pipeline that would take oil from Alberta’s oil sands to the Gulf of Mexico.
Mayor John Dickert of Racine, Wisconsin, says politicians on both sides of the border should look for ways to reduce reliance on fossil fuels while developing alternative sources of clean energy.
