Police nab suspected carjacker

Ottawa Police have arrested a man who carjacked a van and led police on a wild chase Monday night.
It all began with a traffic stop on Highway 174 near Tenth Line on Monday – when police noticed a car with quebec plates didn’t match the car.
Three people were in the vehicle at the time – but the driver fled on foot.
A short distance later, he pushed a woman out of the way and highjacked her car.
He then realized her two young children were in the backseat — so he dropped them off.
The man ended up ramming into a parked car and tree downtown and taking off yet again.
The two other men who were in the car have not been charged.
