University of Ottawa faces possible strike

Part-time professors at the University of Ottawa have voted almost 98 % in favour of a strike.

The union representing the profs say the school wants to deny some of them the right to union representation and has refused to bargain on any other issue.

It says part time profs currently teach almost 60% of the school’s courses.

The university has the ability to lock them out early next month and a strike could take place as early as the second week of May.
