Fire damages Loretta Avenue home

A fire caused about 150 thousand dollars damage to a home on Loretta Avenue Wednesday morning.

Fire officials say the resident, a single man, returned home from work around 8:30 to find the home at 198 Loretta filled with smoke.

Neighbours called 911 and firefighters were able to contain the fire to the attic.

It’s believed the fire started in the bathroom ceiling and spread to the attic area. An exact cause has not been determined.
