Canucks fans appear confident again

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It was all smiles on Granville Street after the Canucks 1-0 win over the Nashville Predators. Fans seem to be back on the bandwagon and feeling good.
While it’s only been a few days since the nail-biting Game 7 victory over Chicago, most fans seem to have put the stress behind them. Fans at bars and pubs in downtown Vancouver were once again relaxed and enjoying the game.
With the 1-0 win, Canucks fan Ralf says he’s made up his mind about the series. “I think it’s a great start to this series so far. We gotta keep playing the way we’re playing and not back off. I believe it will be a tight series, we’ve seen the goaltending. But I believe. I’m hoping the Canucks in 5 games.”
While some complained the game was boring, this man tells News1130 there’s no such thing as boring hockey at this time of year. “No. It’s the playoffs. Playoff hockey is never boring. I love it.”
Fans seemed confident in Roberto Luongo’s performance in net, but also credited Predators net minder Pekka Rinne for an outstanding performance, with some saying goaltending is the only thing Nashville has going for them.
The next game goes Saturday at 6 pm at Rogers Arena.
