Police charge man, 29 with Market assaults

An Ottawa man is facing 15 charges after four separate sexual assaults between March and May of this year.

Police says the suspect  offered young women rides home from the Byward Market early in the morning and when the women accepted, they were assaulted – some sexually, and had their cell phones stolen.  All the victims were between 19 and 22 years old.

Magabi Lashury Suleiman,29 has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, three counts of forcible confinement, four counts of theft under $5000, three counts of breach of recognizance, one count of credit card theft, one count of criminal harassment and one count of intimidation.
