Major construction Woodroffe Ave southbound from Knoxdale Rd and Medhurst Dr to Slack Rd.
Beginning Monday, May 9, southbound lanes on Woodroffe Avenue from Knoxdale Road to Slack Road will be closed and traffic shifted to the northbound lanes in order to accommodate construction of the Woodroffe Avenue watermain. The southbound lanes will remain closed for the duration of the watermain construction. In the existing northbound lanes, one lane will operate in each direction throughout the construction zone. Transit lanes will not be affected.
Turning restrictions will also be in place at the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Hunt Club Road. No left turns will be allowed northbound, and no left or right turns can be made southbound. Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to use existing sidewalks. Detours and speed restrictions will be posted.
Residents are asked to use the north entrance to the Nepean Sportsplex as the south one will be closed.
Rideau St at Avenue Mackenzie and Promenade Sussex – UNTIL MAY 19TH:
Rideau St between Sussex and Colonel By Dr will be closed to all traffic, open to buses and taxis only between 6:00am and 7:00pm Monday through Friday. Open to all traffic after 7:00pm Monday through Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
Cyrville Road near Cummings – UNTIL DECEMBER 31th 2011
A portion of Cyrville Road will be closed between Labrie and Cummings ave, just west of the Split for the removal and replacement of the bridge.
OC Transpo will provide a free shuttle on weekdays between 6:30am and 6:00pm.
Somerset St westbound near Preston St – closed UNTIL NOVEMBER 30
Somerset Street between Bayswater and Preston, there is a signed DETOUR to direct road users around the closure.
Laurier Ave both ways between Bronson Ave and Elgin St – UNTIL Friday. July 22, 2011.
Intermittent lane reductions for construction of the new segregated bike lane.
March Rd bothways at Morgan’s Grant Way – UNTIL August 19, 2011
Lane reductions on March Road between Morgan’s Grant Way and north of Maxwell Bridge and Halton Terrace for roadway widening.
Bank St bothways near Queensway
Parts of Bank street will be closed to through traffic , with detoure via O’Connor st and other streets-
the construction project will replace 100 year old water and sewer pipes and rebuild the roadway, curbs and sidewalks between Bank st bridge and the Queensway (Future Construction)
Queensway eastbound between Lees Ave and Nicholas St and Vanier Pkwy/Riverside Dr
Friday night to Saturday morning from 11pm-10am. Two left lanes and left shoulder will be affected for maitenance.
Limebank Rd both ways at Spratt Rd – UNTIL AUGUST 31
Limebank Road between Spratt Road and Earl Armstrong Road will be closed. Local and emergency access will be accomodated via the intersection of Earl Armstrong Road at Limebank Road.
Heron Rd near Colonel By Dr
Heron Road will be reduced from six lanes of traffic to four at the Heron Road Bridge. Speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h. To be completed Summer 2013
Carling Ave bothways near March Rd – UNTIL Friday, June 17, 2011.
Watermain installation on Carling Ave between March Rd and Herzberg Rd. Reduced to one lane in each direction.
Gatineau
Montée Paiement bothways near Aut-50/Autoroute De L’outaouais
From May 2-May 13 right lane and shoulder Northbound closed from 7am to 7pm
traffic is being rerouted towardsright lane and shoulder Southbound. Construction continues till June 10th
Aut-50 eastbound near Boul De L’aéroport
Daytime construction starting may 9th on HWY 50 Eastbound with one lane closed till Aeroport Blvd.From Monday to friday from 7am to 7pm.
Moncalm St near Papineau – UNTIL AUGUST 31
Montcalm between Papineau and Wright is completely closed. Best alternative route, take Allumettieres exit E or St-Joseph blvd for access to the bridges.
As well Papineau will be closed between Montcalm and Morin for about one month.
