The Los Angeles Times says ex-California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, separated after he revealed he fathered a child with a member of their household staff.
The paper says the child was born more than a decade ago.
Schwarzenegger says he told Shriver about the child after he left the governor’s office four months ago.
In a statement, Schwarzenegger says he takes “full responsibility for the hurt” he has caused.
