OMG … Canadians sent over 56-billion texts in 2010

Canadians are texting more than ever sending over 56-billion messages in 2010, that’s up by 30-billion.
Short code is the most popular way of texting. We all know LOL, OMG, BFF … the list goes on and on.
Even parents are keeping up with the text.
“Now my mom texts everyday, ‘Hey, how’s school, what are you doing?,'” one teen told 680News.
A group of very text-obsessed teens told 680News that this form of communication is also the best way to meet boys.
“I text friends asking them what I should say next to boys,” a teen explained. “I need help!”
Breanna told 680News she sent about 5,000 messages last month while Daniela said some situations do call for a telephone.
“If you need an answer right away, you call,” she explained.
