B.C. journalist Dorothy Parvaz released by Iran

He hadn’t heard from her in 19 days, but Tuesday night, Todd Barker got the phone call he’d be longing for.
His fiancee, BC journalist Dorothy Parvaz, called to say she’d been released after being held in Iran and was clearing customs in Qatar.
Speaking from North Vancouver, Barker said Parvaz told him she was doing well and wasn’t mistreated during her more than two weeks in custody.
Parvaz was arrested in Syria and deported to Iran on allegations of passport “violations.”
