It is already a tragic start to the long weekend. Two people are dead after a crash on County Road 30, north of Trenton and the 401.

Four people were involved in the two cars crash Saturday morning. Two passengers from one car were killed.

The Ontario Provincial Police have not released any other information on the crash.

Another passenger was killed on Highway 10 near Orangeville Friday, after a small car collided with a tractor trailer.

In addition, eight people were sent to the hospital after a mini van rolled over the 401 near Warden, just after 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The OPP are on the roads, the waterways and the trails this weekend and they are urging drivers to slow down and stay off the phone and other handheld devices.
