Veterans report as Leos open main camp

KAMLOOPS (NEWS1130) – The BC Lions are in Kamloops as the veterans portion of training camp gets underway.
But before the players took to the field this morning, the team announced that three players have been released. Quarterback Kevin Riley and import receivers Carl Sims and Chris McClover were all let go by the Lions.
The team will hold two practices a day throughout the week. They’ll wrap things up by hosting a Fan Fest at Thompson Rivers University next Sunday. The Leos will practice on June 13th and 14th before heading to Calgary for their first pre-season game against the Stampeders on June 15th.
The Lions regular season opens on June 30th in Montreal.
