Walmart Walk for Miracles Raises $160,000 for CHEO

Three hundred people gathered at Confederation Park for the Walmart Walk for Miracles Sunday morning, raising $160,000 for CHEO.
The walk gets bigger every year, as 12 children’s hospital regions from coast to coast participate in raising money for their hospitals.
” It’s great this is our fifth year in Ottawa, we’ve been doing it since 2004. The first walk started in Toronto so it’s just growing and growing we’ve raised about 4.8 million last year all across Canada,” said Kevin Raymond, Walmart district manager.
The event builds off of momentum from last weekend’s CHEO telethon where the $120, 000 raised from last year’s walk was donated.
