Fire at collision centre causes $350,000 in damage

A fire at the Ottawa Collision Centre has caused $350,000 in damage.
Fire fighters were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, crews reported heavy black smoke coming from the garage doors.
Crews gained entry and found a large dumpster in the rear of the seven-bay commercial outlet with heavy billowing smoke and quickly extinguished the fire.
No one was injured, but Ottawa Fire’s Mark Messier tells 1310News, the fire damaged a front-end loader, a BMW and another vehicle.
The vehicles suffered severe heat damages to the tune of $275,000, while the building damage is estimated at $75,000.
