Charter plane crash in Nunavut

RESOLUTE BAY, Nunavut – RCMP say a 737 operated by First Air has crashed in Nunavut, killing 12 people.
   
Police say the jet went down Saturday afternoon near the hamlet of Resolute Bay.
   
RCMP say there were 15 people on board, including four crew.
   
RCMP Cst. Angelique Dignard says 12 are dead and three others are injured.
   
Police say the plane was a chartered flight travelling from Yellowknife to Resolute Bay.
   
Dignard says the crash site is less than two kilometres west from the community and is accessible by ATV, but she notes it is rough terrain.
