City will not sue over watermain break

The city is not planning to sue over the broken water main on Woodroffe that prompted the outdoor water ban in Barrhaven, Manotick and Riverside South.

The Sun reported the city can’t determine the exact reason for the watermain break.

Repairs to the watermain cost taxpayers around $8.5 million dollars and the city had hoped originally that it might be able to get some of that back from the manufacturer.
