NDP surging federally

A pollster is calling it “the Jack effect.”
   
A Canadian Press Harris-Decima survey suggests support for the N-D-P is up almost three-points in the polls since the May election.
   
Allan Gregg says the national outpouring of emotion we witnessed over Jack Layton’s untimely death appears to have translated directly into increased support for the party he left behind.
   
The poll suggests the N-D-P and Tories are tied at 33 per cent support, well ahead of the Liberals at 21 per cent.
