Fire breaks out after men hit gas line with auger

Two people are injured after a natural gas main break and fire on 2570Southvale Cresecent Sunday.
A man and his friend were using an auger to drill post holes for a backyard deck when they hit and ruptured the gas line.
A fire broke out with flames reportedly shooting over 20 feet high.
The 47-year-old homeowner tried to put out the blaze, but received first and second degree burns to his arms.
His friend also received first-degree burns to his arms.
The adjacent house caught fire and seven fire trucks and 26 firefighters responded to put out the blaze.
Both the injured men were treated on scene.
Enbridge gas managed to shut off the gas flow to the home by 2 pm.
