More secure passport on the way

GATINEAU- Passport Canada says it’s on track to issue a more secure passport starting next year.
Canada is the only G8 country that has yet to make an electronic passport available to its citizens.
The rollout of the new passport had initially been slated for this year but officials now say it will be available in 2012.
E-passports are like regular paper passports, but are embedded with an electronic chip and enhanced security features including face-recognition data.
