Local LRT jobs to be highlighted

Ottawa councillors gave the green light Wednesday to an idea to promote LRT jobs locally.

Gloucester South Nepean Councillor Steve Desroches says he wants Ottawa companies to be made fully aware of the subcontracts that could be awarded, and is planning to have a trade show.

The light rail project expected to cost a whooping $2.1-billion.
