Study finds women spend just under $800 post break up

The average newly single female spends $773 reinventing her image after being dumped.
Researchers found the woman will react to her break up by shopping and buying a new wardrobe which will give a much-needed boost to her self-esteem. The woman will also highlight and cut her hair.
That’s not all. She also splurges on new shoes, a gym membership, spray tans, make-up and manicures.
“So, you’re feeling in the dumps so you go out and buy something new and you get your hair done different, someone will say you look good, well it’s worth it,” said an Ottawa woman.
The breakdown of her reinvention:
Hair cut and color: $143
Spray tans: $61
New clothes: $191
New shoes: $95
New make-up: $76
Manicures/pedicures: $80
Gym membership: $127
TOTAL: $773
