Controversial Tory Randy Hillier has been re-elected

Controversial Tory Randy Hillier has been re-elected despite coming under fire during the election.

Hillier was the subject of controversy when a media report revealed he owes about 15-thousand dollars in unpaid taxes to the Canada Revenue Agency.

The self-described libertarian was also banned from the legislature at one point for staging a 44 hour sit-in over the harmonized sales tax.

Hillier competed against Hudak for the Progressive Conservative leadership and was Hudak’s kingmaker when he dropped off the ballot.

Hillier won his eastern Ontario riding with 48 per cent of the vote.
