Voter turnout at record low

Despite a much bigger turnout for advance polls, overall voter turnout plunged to a  record low — down to just 47.6 per cent.

That means fewer than four-million out of the 8.5-million eligible voters in Ontario bothered to mark a ballot.

Elections Ontario made make voting possible on 28 out of the 29 days of the campaign.
