Operation Impact underway this Thanksgiving weekend

It’s a familiar sight on Provincial highways during long weekends, an increase of OPP vehicles.
Provincial Police are taking part in a national road safety partnership known as “Operation Impact.”
Officers are focussed on impaired driving, seat belt use, and aggressive or distracted driving.
The goal is to remind drivers that an essential part of traffic education and enforcement is to save lives and reduce injuries.
The program is sponsored by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and Transport Canada.
“Operation Impact” runs untill Monday.
