Police investigating attempted abduction claim

Parents are on alert after an apparent abduction attempt at Fisher Park Community Centre earlier this week.
Police were called to the centre at 250 Holland Ave. about 8:30 Monday night after an 11-year-old boy reported that a man had tried to grab him.
Police tell 1310News that the description of the suspect was too vague to be helpful, but the case is open and is being handled by the sexual assault and child abuse unit.
The Fisher Park/Summit Alternative School sent out a “stranger alert” to parents yesterday, letting them know about the incident.
The email describes the man as middle-eastern and in his 40s, with two moles on his face. He was apparently driving a vehicle resembling a silver, four-door chevrolet sedan.
