Conservatives introduce bill to scrap long gun registry

The Conservative government has introduced legislation to scrap the registration of rifles and shotguns. A private member’s bill to kill it was narrowly defeated in the last Parliament, but the Tories promised to try again.

Now, with a majority Conservative government, the bill seems certain to pass.
