Boo! It’s Halloween!

Halloween can be a stressful time! From getting the kids out the door to cooking dinner and then hitting the streets to trick-or-treat.
However, parents can be thankful because the weather looks pretty good in the Capital with no showers in the forecast.
And right across Ontario, Environment Canada says trick-or-treaters will have a slightly warmer Halloween night than their counterparts in much of the rest of Canada.
1310News Meteorologist Harold Hosein is calling for the temperature to hover around six degrees during the prime trick-or-treat time in Ottawa, with the sunset expected at around 6 p.m.
Meantime, the costume choices for kids are endless.
One parent told 1310News her children will be dressing up as Tinkerbell and also a pirate.
“My son was interested in dressing up as a doctor with a stethoscope around his neck,” said another parent.
And for all the kids going out to get their hands on treats, one west-end resident and a group of neighbours have transformed their front lawns into a giant haunted house.
Mike Gardners said he begins preparing his home on 94 Meadowlands Drive in August because there is so much to do.
