Carleton Students call for 24 hour assault centre

After a spate of recent sexual assaults in or around the Carleton university campus, students were demanding better support services, mainly a 24-hour sexual assault centre.
The director of Carleton’s equity services, Linda Capperauld, told the Sun having a sex assault centre would not prevent violence from happening.
Capperauld said things like counseling, medical services have already been available if needed, but the coalition for Carleton’s sexual assault centre, founded in 2007, said that simply has not been enough.
