Police looking for suspect after Lowertown shooting

Ottawa Police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in connection to a shooting in Lowertown Friday night around 7:00 p.m.

19-year-old Daniel Enrique Esquivel is wanted for firearms related offences.

Esquivel is described as Latin American, five-foot-eight, 165 pounds, and is considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting occurred in the area of 327 York Street. There were no injuries.

The guns and gangs unit is saying that this shooting is not related to the second shooting in Vanier early Saturday.
