Santa Claus comes to town!

Jolly old Saint Nick was a busy man Saturday.
Santa Claus was the guest of honour in several Ottawa-area parades, including the 14th Annual Parade of Lights in Orleans.
Over 100,000 people bundled up and staked out prime spots on St. Joseph Boulevard to watch as the parade wound from Youville to Prestone.
This year, the parade had over 75 entries, with floats from the Ottawa Fire Department, the Ottawa Police and OC Transpo.
Fire fighters collected toys and donations along the route for charity, and organizer Bob Rainboth told 1310News, the Christmas spirit usually gathers between $50-80,000 worth of toys each year.
Santa Claus also made appearances at the Pembroke Santa Claus Parade of Lights, the Gananoque Santa Claus Parade, the Carleton Place Santa Claus Parade and the Stittsville Parade of Lights.
