Busy first weekend for Operation Red Nose

Volunteers were on the road this weekend, driving people and their cars home as part of Operation Red Nose.

The program has picked up over 200 party goers in Outaouais and almost 50 people in Ottawa since the free chauffeur service kicked off on Friday.

Danielle Legault is a spokesperson for operation red nose.

Legault tells 1310News that volunteers are always ready to get people home safely so there is no reason for people to get behind the wheel after drinking.

The service will be up and running again next weekend.
