Man’s injuries a mystery

Questions surround how a 49-year-old Ottawa man ended up unconscious and badly injured in a park near Bay and Sparks last week.

John Marinelli is in hospital with a number of severe injuries. The Sun reporting two doctors treating him say his injuries are not consistent with a beating. They say they are more consistent with impact from a car, or perhaps something heavy fell on him. Perhaps he fell.

No one knows for sure.

Marinelli’s sister says her mom got a call from police saying they have launched a full investigation.
