Gatineau passes budget

The city of Gatineau has passed it’s budget.

Residents will see their property tax go up 2.2 per cent.

The average home-owner in Hull, for example, will be paying just under $24-hundred dollars this year.

The city balanced budget is for $491-million.

Infrastructure will take up over $50-million of that total.

Fixing roads and water and sewer pipes could come at the expense of some programs and  services.

Decisions on those will be made next year.
