A “weather bomb” is taking aim at the maritimes.
Forecasters say the intensifying low-pressure system is expected to deliver damaging gusts of wind, as the barometric pressure plunges over 24-hours.
Environment Canada says winds could gust up to 100 kilometres an hour in some parts of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
Snowfall warnings have been issued for the island, while heavy rain is expected across southern New Brunswick.
