Senators look for revenge versus Washington Capitals

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators look for their 2nd straight win tonight, when they take on the struggling Washington Capitals. The Sens are also seeking a little retribution after their 3-2 loss in Washington on Saturday night.
Ottawa is a lovely 7-4-1 at Scotiabank Place this season while the Caps have a record of 3-8-1 over their last 12 games. Alex Ovechkin has just one goal over that span.
On the flip side, the Capitals have won both games between these two teams this season. They both took place in Washington.
Craig Anderson will get the start in goal for the Senators. He is 6-2-1 over his last nine starts. Alex Auld should get the call tomorrow night in New Jersey.
There will be no line-up changes for the Sens tonight, which mens Bobby Butler is on the Spezza line with Jason Greening, while Nikita Filatov is up in the press box with 1310’s Eric Prime. Filip Kuba has been placed on the IR by the Senators with a shoulder injury. He is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.
Also of note, today is Milan Michalek’s 27th birthday. He has 16 goals on the season, one back of the league leaders with 17.
