Charges laid in home invasion Friday

Five men have been charged in connection with a home invasion in the Overbrook area.
Around 4 am yesterday… four men burst into the home at 300 Glynn avenue demanding cash.
They forced two residents into the basement where one was alledgedly beaten with a firearm and injured with a knife. A second resident also suffered a knife wound.
According to the Citizen, the attackers did not know there was a third person in the house upstairs who was able to call police.
Officers arrived and arrested the four still in the home and a fifth man waiting outside in a stolen vehicle.
Police found a loaded hundgun and ammunition inside the home along with crack cocaine and marijuana.
The five suspects, aged 18 to 29, face a total of 43 charges including robbery and forcible confinement.
