The attempted abduction of a 10-year-old boy in Kemptville this morning has Grenville OPP on the lookout for one suspect.
Police say the boy was walking to South Branch Elementary School along Concession Road when he was stopped by a man in a light coloured minivan.
The driver did not touch the boy, but asked him to get in the vehicle. The boy refused and told school authorities.
Police searched the area, but were not able to find the man or the minivan.
The suspect is described as white, about 45 years old, with grey hair and glasses. He was wearing a hoodie at the time.
Police are encouraging parents to remind their children about the dangers of accepting rides from strangers. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
