Two western journalists killed in Syria

Syrian government shelling in the opposition stronghold of Homs has killed two journalists, including a veteran American war correspondent.

Marie Colvin was working for Britain’s Sunday Times.

The French government says Colvin and French photojournalist Remi Ochlik were killed Wednesday in what it’s calling the “increasingly intolerable repression” by Syrian forces.

Syria’s military has redoubled its attacks on Homs in recent days.
