Paint It Up! Program engages local youth in graffiti prevention

OTTAWA – In an effort to curb hate graffiti in certain areas, the Paint It Up! Program is once again going full-steam ahead.

The City of Ottawa and Crime Prevention Ottawa are teaming up to work with youth to create murals in the city’s most graffiti prone places.

The program provides $50, 000 annually to fund projects that promote graffiti prevention and neighbourhood beautification.  

Click here for applications for the 2012 edition of the Paint It Up! Program. The deadline for applications is Apr. 4 at 4 p.m.

Public information sessions will be held for the program:

Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Colonel By Room, Ottawa City Hall

Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Hall D, Nepean Sportsplex
